Speaking Engagements

I would rather write than speak before a crowd. But there are invitations that are hard to refuse.

On Friday, August 20 (my daughter’s birthday! yehey!), I’ll be at PUP at 1 PM to talk about how to compete in the job market. Is it enough to have a college degree? Well, more on that next Friday.

On the 28th of August, I’ll be in Baguio City to join the First Anniversary Celebration of our Tulay Alumni Organization at the OWWA Regional Office from 10 AM to 1 PM.

Every Saturday, Fort Jose, Cesar Manuel and I have a radio program over at 882 DWIZ on your AM dial. Our program starts at 5.30 pm and ends at 6.30 pm. We have a weekly “name-that-song” and “name-the-singer” contest with Php 500 going to the lucky participant. All our “sukis” need to do is to call up the station and guess the title of the song and its singer. Ooops, I forgot. The name of our weekly radio show is “Global Pinoy.”

In case you guys need a speaker on the following topics: migration, human trafficking, employment opportunities, on writing well, and how to draw up a communications plan — you know who to call — Mikka or Mark of the Blas F. Ople Center thru landlines: 833-5337 and/or 833-9562.

Good evening Ms. Ople. I am Josie Lapid, i’m a guidance counselor and currently the program coordinator of our support group program for partners and children of ofw. Will it possible if i can invite you to talk to our parents with regard to the implication of working abroad on the life of their families. I hope that i can also meet you in person so that i can see the person whom i mention in some of my activities with our participants.

I am hoping that you will respond on this letter.

    thank you

  • Hi Josie! I’ll be happy to meet with you and also speak before your group. I am in the middle of developing a project for children of OFWs and it would be nice to hear their views. Just call Mikka at 833-5337 so she can set the meeting for both of us. Thanks!

Hi!
