OFW Alfredo Salmos is home

Last Friday, Alfredo Salmos finally got the chance to come home to his hometown of Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija to see his mother, Estrella. This reunion would not have been possible had it not been for the concern and vigilance of so many Good Samaritans on Facebook, in Saudi Arabia, here and throughout the world.

Mang Fred, as I now call him, is scheduled for admission to the Philippine General Hospital this week for all the required tests and evaluations prior to his first major surgery. He requested for a few days off from the hospital to visit his mother.

“Gusto ko lang makita nanay ko bago ma-operahan.” The good doctors of the Plastic Surgery Office of PGH granted Alfredo’s wish.

Here is a link to the video that we in the Blas F. Ople Center created to highlight Mang Fred’s heartwarming reunion with his mother:

Let us continue to pray for Alfredo Salmos. He is a good man who deserves a normal and happy life especially after suffering major burns in Saudi Arabia.

If you want to help Mang Fred, please call her sister, Epifania, at +639198889810 or contact us at the Blas F. Ople Policy Center via (+632) 8335337 and through e-mail addresses: blasoplecenter@hotmail.com & blasoplecenter@gmail.com.
