An Update on the Blas F. Ople Commemorative Jobs Fair

Here is the latest on the jobs fair that our center is organizing to commemorate my late father’s 80th birth anniversary next month:

Date: February 2, 2007 (Friday) or a day earlier than Ka Blas Ople’s real birthday which falls on February 3 where all his close friends and family members will gather for a mass at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

Time: 9 AM to 7 PM

Venue: Activity Center, Market! Market!, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City

Organizer: Blas F. Ople Policy Center and Training Institute

Fellow bloggers, hope you can help me spread the word about this special one-day jobs fair.

We expect a diversified listing of jobs with booths officially taken by major call center companies such as E-Telecare and People’s Support, among others plus different licensed recruitment agencies requiring applicants of various skills and backgrounds (from hotel workers to construction workers and engineers).

For those interested in serving as sponsors for this event or to get a booth for recruitment purposes or just to showcase your company, please contact the Blas F. Ople Policy Center at 833-5337 (look for Ricci or Estelle) or send us an email: Hurry because we plan to put out an ad announcing the jobs fair by Friday next week. By the way, proceeds from this event will go to the Blas F. Ople Journalism Scholarship Program, a joint undertaking that we have with Samahang Plaridel, an association of senior journalists chaired by Manila Bulletin columnist Adrian Cristobal with Inquirer columnist Neal Cruz as president.
